At Motus PT we utilize the Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization technique as the foundation for all assessment and treatment. This approach is based on the neurodevelopmental aspects of motor control and movement patterns established in the first years of life. We will assess the patient's current movement strategies and restore normal functional mobility patterns through manual mobilization of musculoskeletal system and re-education of the neuromuscular system with specific movement pattern training and exercises in the clinic and home.
Motus PT was founded by Darlene Eubanks, PT, MPT, OCS, in July 2014. Motus, defined as "movement" in Latin, was created to allow her to focus treatments based on the "Prague School" Method.
Born and raised in Missouri, Darlene's greatest passion was sports! Competitively involved in softball, soccer and swimming, she sustained some injuries along the way inspiring her to become a Physical Therapist. At 18, she moved to Los Angeles for school and earned a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy with Distinction from California State University, Northridge, and has now been practicing for over 18 years.
Her career began at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center where she worked in the outpatient department, transitional care unit and the acute inpatient floors, among others. Before starting her own botique practice, she was at an private outpatient orthopedic practice for over 9 years. This invaluable experience has given her a diverse background in treatment from acute illnesses to chronic injuries for pediatric through geriatric populations.
Darlene remains active in sports like golf, hiking, cycling and triathlons. Her athleticism, along with her eagerness to learn the latest in movement science theory, enable her to understand the needs of athletes and non-athletes alike in their rehabilitation and performance training.
